Reflection
- 1. God's greatness is unsearchable (v.3). Don't reduce God to what you can comprehend. He is always bigger than your understanding. Every discovery of His nature reveals more beyond.
- 2. God is good to ALL (v.9). Not just to the faithful. Not just to Israel. To ALL. His tender mercies cover all His works. This is universal grace — available before it's asked for.
- 3. God opens His hand (v.16). He is not stingy, not reluctant, not withholding. His hand is OPEN — pouring out satisfaction. If you're in need, look to the open hand.
- 4. He is near when you call (v.18). You don't need a priest, a system, or special access. Call on Him in truth and He is NEAR. Immediacy of access is the privilege of prayer.
- 5. This is David's last psalm — his final word is PRAISE. After all the laments, fears, doubts, and battles, David ends with wholehearted praise. May your last word also be praise.
