1Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
2Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
3Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
4All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
5Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
6He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
7He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
8O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
9Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
10For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
12Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
13I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
16Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
17I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
19But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.

10For thou, O God, hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
11Thou broughtest us into the net; Thou layedst a sore burden upon our loins.
12Thou didst cause men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
13I will come into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will pay thee my vows,
14Which my lips uttered, And my mouth spake, when I was in distress.
15I will offer unto thee burnt-offerings of fatlings, With the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah

20Blessed be God, Who hath not turned away my prayer, Nor his lovingkindness from me. Psalm 67 For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm, a song.
1For the music director, a song, a psalm. Shout out praise to God, all the earth!
2Sing praises about the majesty of his reputation. Give him the honor he deserves!
3Say to God: “How awesome are your deeds! Because of your great power your enemies cower in fear before you.
4All the earth worships you and sings praises to you. They sing praises to your name.” (Selah)
5Come and witness God’s exploits! His acts on behalf of people are awesome.
6He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. Let us rejoice in him there.
7He rules by his power forever; he watches the nations. Stubborn rebels should not exalt themselves. (Selah)
8Praise our God, you nations. Loudly proclaim his praise.
9He preserves our lives and does not allow our feet to slip.
10For you, O God, tested us; you purified us like refined silver.
11You led us into a trap; you caused us to suffer.
12You allowed men to ride over our heads; we passed through fire and water, but you brought us out into a wide open place.
13I will enter your temple with burnt sacrifices; I will fulfill the vows I made to you,
14which my lips uttered and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
15I will offer up to you fattened animals as burnt sacrifices, along with the smell of sacrificial rams. I will offer cattle and goats. (Selah)
16Come! Listen, all you who are loyal to God. I will declare what he has done for me.
17I cried out to him for help and praised him with my tongue.
18If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
19However, God heard; he listened to my prayer.
20God deserves praise, for he did not reject my prayer or abandon his love for me.
1Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
2Sing to the glory of his name! Offer glory and praise!
3Tell God, “How awesome are your deeds! Through the greatness of your power, your enemies submit themselves to you.
4All the earth will worship you, and will sing to you; they will sing to your name.” Selah.
5Come, and see God’s deeds— awesome work on behalf of the children of men.
6He turned the sea into dry land. They went through the river on foot. There, we rejoiced in him.
7He rules by his might forever. His eyes watch the nations. Don’t let the rebellious rise up against him. Selah.
8Praise our God, you peoples! Make the sound of his praise heard,
9who preserves our life among the living, and doesn’t allow our feet to be moved.
10For you, God, have tested us. You have refined us, as silver is refined.
11You brought us into prison. You laid a burden on our backs.
12You allowed men to ride over our heads. We went through fire and through water, but you brought us to the place of abundance.
13I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will pay my vows to you,
14which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress.
15I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals, with the offering of rams, I will offer bulls with goats. Selah.
16Come, and hear, all you who fear God. I will declare what he has done for my soul.
17I cried to him with my mouth. He was extolled with my tongue.
18If I cherished sin in my heart, the Lord wouldn’t have listened.
19But most certainly, God has listened. He has heard the voice of my prayer.
20Blessed be God, who has not turned away my prayer, nor his loving kindness from me.

Reflection
- 1. God's testing is refining, not punishing (v.10). Silver is tried by fire not to destroy it but to purify it. When God allows trials, He is working toward a purer you, not a destroyed you.
- 2. The path to abundance goes THROUGH fire and water (v.12). There is no shortcut to the "wealthy place." The through-ness of trial is the pathway to blessing. Don't demand exemption from the process.
- 3. Cherished sin blocks prayer (v.18). The issue is not perfection but direction. If you are clinging to known sin — defending it, hiding it, refusing to release it — don't expect God to respond to your prayers. Let it go, and the line is clear again.
- 4. Testimony is powerful (v.16). "Come and hear... what he hath done for my soul." Personal testimony of God's faithfulness is one of the most convincing forms of witness. Tell your story.
